Love Your Teeth: Dentists Warn People against These Bad Oral Habits

Multi-Purpose Tools – From opening a bag of potato chips to ripping off price tags, people often use their teeth as tools when they shouldn’t be. These may seem like an easy task, but the pressure they put on the teeth is very great. A very simple tip: Use real tools to get the job done, scissors, cutters, and pliers were invented for a reason. Brushing Too Much – brushing your teeth is good, but too much of anything is bad. Dentists warn that brushing your teeth too forcefully, or with hard bristled brushes could wear down the enamel. Use a soft bristled toothbrush and gently clean your teeth. If you find yourself unintentionally putting too much pressure on your brush strokes, you could try using an electric toothbrush instead so you don’t have to continuously press down.
